Welcome to the 2008 New Generation Arts Festival
Birmingham's New Generation Arts Festival commences this year on the 5th June at the Town Hall, with a digital musical production featuring world reowned Julian Lloyd Webber in association with some of Birmingham's hottest talent in digital music.
The festivals 16 day programme will be exploring Digital technologies, reviewing their value and the hidden costs and challenges associated with the nations increasing obsession with second generation and social networking tools.
The festival will be showcasing the skills and talents of fellow students and recent graduates, alongside rising artistic stars who have studied or who live in Birmingham, in some 30 events spread across the city.
In addition to an opening spectacular this year's festival will include the first VJ/DJ night with Project X Presents - a multi layered fantasy journey with live and recorded musical sound, video / animation, light and interaction generating a truly vital experience and some of the most influencial commentators on the British Arts scene will be conveying on Birmingham from the NGA's eminent Big Debate on the 9th June.
