This year’s fine artist collections and commissions build on the collective reservoirs of talent associated with Birmingham. Engaging new audiences through innovative use of media and space, the NGA 2007 Fine Arts collections explore the full range of arts, including painting, sculpture, photography and screen-based media.

Some of Birmingham’s finest artists converge to produce work that challenges perceptions, stimulates the senses and illustrates the city’s role as a backdrop to fine arts.

With contributions from acclaimed graduates of the city’s institutions, award winning international artists and emerging stars of the future, this year’s Festival promises much to a wide variety of audiences.
