The New Generation Arts Festival has finished its second year going on its third, and we aim for this year to be another great success and larger than last year,
The festival focuses on showcasing the talents of local and international artists from Birmingham, by bringing them together for two weeks.
Your contribution as a volunteer will make all the difference and help make the festival the succes that it is.

Am I the right person?
- If you are over 18 from 5th June 2008, you can apply
- If you are a friendly, enthusiastic and committed person then this is the ideal opportunity for you
- You need to be reliable and responsible
- You need to be able to work as part of a team
- You will be meeting new people and need to be polite and sociable
To apply you will need
- To be able to attend an induction session on Thursday 29th May 2008
- Be available to work 4 hour shifts (the times are either morning shift starting 10.00 or afternoon shift starting 14.00
- Wear the uniform provided when on shift

Job role 1 - Stewarding
- Helping the artists install their work
- Opening up the venues
- Act as a steward and answer any questions visitors may have
- Record the number of visitors attending each event
- Ask visitors to fill in our questionnaire
Job role 2 - Promotions
- Handing out flyers to the general public to help promote the event
- Provide the general public with information about the festival
